SECTION 1
GENERAL TERMS FOR ALL SERVICES
1. Ownership and Authority
Client represents that they are the legal owner of the dog(s), or have legal authority from the owner to make decisions regarding the dog(s), authorize services, and enter into this Agreement.
Client agrees to provide complete, accurate, and timely information regarding the dog’s health, medications, behavioral history, bite history, handling needs, training history, known triggers, escape behavior, destructive behavior, elimination concerns, interactions with people and animals, and any other information reasonably relevant to the safe provision of services.
Client agrees to promptly notify In Sync Canine of material changes in the dog’s health, medication, behavior, or care needs.
2. Disclosure of Health and Behavioral Information
In Sync Canine relies upon information provided by Client when making decisions regarding training, handling, transportation, group placement, boarding, management, and safety.
Client understands that incomplete, inaccurate, or withheld information may place the dog, other animals, In Sync Canine, members of the public, or property at risk.
Material failure to disclose known medical conditions, bite history, aggression, escape behavior, destructive behavior, handling sensitivities, contagious illness, or another reasonably significant health or behavioral concern may result in modification, suspension, or termination of services.
3. No Guarantee of Behavior or Training Outcome
Dogs are living animals whose behavior can be influenced by health, environment, genetics, learning history, development, stress, relationships, management, and circumstances outside the control of In Sync Canine.
In Sync Canine will make reasonable efforts to provide ethical, evidence-based services appropriate to the individual dog but does not guarantee any specific training result, behavioral outcome, social relationship, or timeline.
Past behavior does not guarantee future behavior.
A dog who has not previously bitten, injured, escaped, fought with, damaged property, or behaved aggressively toward a person or animal may nevertheless do so in the future.
Training cannot guarantee that a dog will never bite, become fearful, react aggressively, escape, develop new behavioral concerns, or experience regression.
4. Inherent Risks Associated With Dogs
Client understands that working with, training, handling, transporting, boarding, exercising, and caring for dogs involves inherent and sometimes unpredictable risks.
Depending upon the service, risks may include:
• Bites, scratches, punctures, bruising, and abrasions
• Torn nails, paw injuries, and pad injuries
• Sprains, strains, muscle injuries, ligament injuries, and tendon injuries
• Joint injuries, fractures, and other orthopedic injuries
• Collisions, falls, slips, and injuries associated with running or play
• Conflict or injury involving another dog or animal
• Ingestion of foreign material or unsafe substances
• Allergic reactions, insect bites, and environmental exposure
• Heat-related or cold-related illness
• Exposure to parasites or communicable disease
• Escape or accidental injury
• Exacerbation of a pre-existing medical or behavioral condition
• Vehicle or transportation-related incidents
• Serious injury, medical emergency, or death
Client knowingly accepts the ordinary and inherent risks associated with the applicable service.
5. Client Responsibility for Dog’s Conduct
Client accepts financial responsibility for injury or property damage caused by Client’s dog while receiving services from or otherwise in the care, custody, or control of In Sync Canine, except to the extent responsibility cannot lawfully be assigned to Client.
This may include injury or damage caused to another person, another animal, In Sync Canine, a third party, or property.
6. Property Damage Caused by Client’s Dog
Client is financially responsible for property damage caused by Client’s dog while receiving services from or otherwise in the care, custody, or control of In Sync Canine, except to the extent responsibility cannot lawfully be assigned to Client.
This includes property owned, leased, rented, borrowed, occupied, or used by In Sync Canine, including but not limited to:
• In Sync Canine’s vehicle, including seats, upholstery, flooring, windows, doors, trim, interior panels, exterior surfaces, crates, barriers, restraints, and other vehicle equipment

• Crates, gates, barriers, leashes, harnesses, beds, bowls, toys, and supplies
• Property rented, leased, or otherwise used for Adventure Day Camp, training, or another service
• Property belonging to another person or business
Damage may include, but is not limited to, chewing, scratching, digging, marking, urinating or defecating, breaking barriers, damaging vehicle interiors, damaging doors or walls, destruction associated with escape attempts, or destruction of furnishings, equipment, landscaping, or other property.
Client agrees to reimburse In Sync Canine for the reasonable cost of cleaning, repair, restoration, or replacement resulting from property damage caused by Client’s dog.
When Client’s dog causes damage to third-party property, Client accepts financial responsibility for reasonable costs or claims resulting from that damage to the fullest extent permitted by law.
7. Client Personal Property
Client understands that personal belongings sent with a dog may become dirty, damaged, misplaced, or destroyed during normal care.
Unless otherwise required by law, In Sync Canine is not responsible for ordinary loss or damage to nonessential personal property supplied by Client, including bedding, blankets, toys, clothing, collars, harnesses, leashes, bowls, or similar belongings.
Client should not send irreplaceable or unusually valuable items with their dog.
8. Safety and Management Requirements
In Sync Canine may require reasonable safety or management measures when necessary for the safety or welfare of the dog, Client, In Sync Canine, another animal, or another person.
This may include use of a properly fitted:
• Muzzle
• Harness
• Leash or long line
• Crate
• Gate or barrier
• Vehicle restraint
• Other appropriate safety or management equipment
Client agrees to follow reasonable safety requirements established by In Sync Canine.
Refusal or repeated failure to follow required safety measures may result in modification, suspension, or termination of services.
9. Right to Modify, Refuse, or Discontinue Services
In Sync Canine may modify, refuse, suspend, or discontinue a service when, in its professional judgment, continuing would not be reasonably safe, appropriate, or within the scope of services In Sync Canine can provide.
Reasons may include changes in health or behavior, safety concerns, inability to safely manage the dog, material nondisclosure, failure to follow required safety measures, or Client conduct that materially interferes with the safe or professional provision of services.
Previous acceptance or participation does not guarantee continued eligibility for any service.
SECTION 2
PRIVATE TRAINING & BEHAVIOR SUPPORT
10. Training Approach
In Sync Canine provides ethical, science-based, positive reinforcement training and behavior support.
Training is individualized to the dog and household.
Depending on the dog and training goals, sessions may take place in the Client’s home, neighborhood, local community, or another carefully selected environment.
Recommendations may include training, management, environmental changes, enrichment, changes to routines, veterinary consultation, or referral to another qualified professional.
11. Training Methods and Aversive Techniques
Client understands that In Sync Canine’s services and recommendations are based on positive reinforcement and humane, evidence-based practices.
Client agrees not to use or introduce methods intended to cause fear, pain, intimidation, or physical discomfort as part of an In Sync Canine training or behavior plan.
This includes, but is not limited to:
• Electronic or shock collars
• Prong collars
• Choke chains
• Physical corrections
• Intimidation
• Deliberate flooding
• Hitting, kicking, pinning, or other physical punishment
• Other coercive or aversive methods inconsistent with the training or behavior plan
If Client is considering a change in training methods or equipment, Client agrees to discuss the change with In Sync Canine.
Use of methods that materially conflict with the agreed training or behavior plan may result in modification or termination of services when continuing would compromise safety, welfare, or the integrity of the behavior plan.
12. Client Participation
Client understands that training and behavior modification are collaborative processes and that progress may depend in part on Client’s participation, consistency, management, and implementation of recommendations between sessions.
Client agrees to make reasonable efforts to follow the training and management plan discussed with In Sync Canine and to communicate when a recommendation is unclear, difficult to implement, or appears to be affecting the dog negatively.
In Sync Canine may modify recommendations based on the dog’s response, changes in circumstances, new information, or Client feedback.
13. Veterinary and Professional Referral
Behavior may be influenced by pain, illness, medication, neurological conditions, sensory changes, or other medical factors.
In Sync Canine may recommend veterinary evaluation, diagnostic testing, consultation with a veterinary behaviorist, or referral to another qualified professional when appropriate.
In Sync Canine does not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medication, or provide veterinary care.
When a health or behavioral concern may materially affect safety or the dog’s welfare, In Sync Canine may pause or modify services pending veterinary evaluation, clearance, or additional professional support.
14. Bites, Aggression, and Client Responsibility
Client understands that training and behavior modification cannot guarantee that a dog will not bite, attempt to bite, injure, threaten, or behave aggressively toward a person or another animal.
Client understands that a dog’s participation in training or behavior modification does not mean that the dog has been determined to be safe in all situations or that behavioral risk has been eliminated.
Client remains responsible for the supervision, management, restraint, and conduct of Client’s dog during and after the training relationship.
To the fullest extent permitted by Washington law, In Sync Canine is not responsible for bites, attempted bites, attacks, injuries, property damage, or other incidents caused by Client’s dog during a training or behavior session or at any time after training, including incidents involving Client, members of Client’s household, guests, children, members of the public, other animals, or third parties.
Client understands that recommendations made by In Sync Canine are intended to reduce risk and support behavior change but cannot eliminate the inherent unpredictability of animal behavior.
Client agrees to follow reasonable safety and management recommendations provided by In Sync Canine and understands that management may remain necessary even when the dog’s behavior has improved.
Client agrees not to interpret behavioral improvement, successful completion of training, or the absence of previous incidents as a representation or guarantee by In Sync Canine that the dog will not bite or cause injury in the future.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Client assumes responsibility for claims, damages, injuries, or losses arising from the actions of Client’s
dog, except to the extent such responsibility cannot legally be assigned to Client under Washington law.
15. People Present During Training
Client is responsible for appropriately supervising children, family members, guests, and other individuals present during training sessions.
Client agrees to communicate relevant safety and management instructions to individuals who may interact with the dog.
In Sync Canine may limit or restrict an individual’s participation in a training session when reasonably necessary for safety, the dog’s welfare, or the effectiveness of the training or behavior plan.
16. Client Conduct
In Sync Canine may suspend or terminate services when Client or another person involved in the training relationship engages in threatening, abusive, harassing, discriminatory, or unsafe conduct that materially interferes with the safe or professional provision of services.
17. Recording of Training Sessions
Client may not audio record, video record, screen record, photograph, livestream, or otherwise capture or reproduce any Private Training & Behavior Support session without prior written permission from In Sync Canine.
This includes in-person sessions and virtual sessions conducted through Zoom, Google Meet, or another video conferencing platform.
Client may not permit another person, device, application, artificial intelligence tool, transcription service, meeting assistant, or automated recording service to record, transcribe, capture, or reproduce a session without prior written permission from In Sync Canine.
When permission to record is granted, the recording is for Client’s personal use only unless In Sync Canine provides written permission for another use. Client may not publish, post, distribute, share, sell, or use the recording for commercial, instructional, or promotional purposes without prior written permission from In Sync Canine.
In Sync Canine may require unauthorized recording or transcription to stop before continuing the session.
18. Private Training Cancellation Policy
Client agrees to provide at least 48 hours’ notice when canceling or rescheduling a Private Training & Behavior Support session.
Sessions canceled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice are subject to the full session fee. When the session is part of a prepaid package, the session will be deducted from the package.
True emergencies may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of In Sync Canine.
19. Training Fees
Fees for Private Training & Behavior Support are based on the rates quoted or published by In Sync Canine at the time services are booked.
Client agrees to pay applicable training fees in accordance with the payment terms communicated by In Sync Canine.
Section 3:
Adventure Day Camp
This section applies whenever Client’s dog participates in Adventure Day Camp.
20. Nature of Adventure Day Camp
Adventure Day Camp is an active, small-group service that may include running, play, exploration, enrichment, outdoor activity, transportation, and interaction with other dogs.
Client understands that Adventure Day Camp involves physical activity and social interaction and is not a controlled or risk-free environment.
21. Group Compatibility
Dogs participating in Adventure Day Camp must be able to safely and comfortably be around other dogs. Dogs are not required to enjoy or interact with every dog.
In Sync Canine may group dogs based on factors including play style, personality, comfort, behavior, physical ability, age, maturity, and existing social relationships.
Acceptance into Adventure Day Camp does not guarantee continued participation or placement with a particular group.
In Sync Canine may change group composition or modify, pause, or discontinue a dog’s participation when reasonably necessary for safety, welfare, or group compatibility.
22. Risks of Group Play and Physical Activity
Client understands that active play, running, exploration, and interaction between dogs involve inherent risks of injury even when dogs are appropriately selected, supervised, and managed.
Possible injuries include, but are not limited to:
• Scratches, bruising, punctures, and bites
• Torn nails
• Paw and pad injuries
• Sprains and strains
• Muscle, ligament, and tendon injuries
• Joint injuries
• Fractures
• Head or eye injuries
• Injuries resulting from collisions, falls, or rough play
• Other serious injuries associated with physical activity or interaction between dogs
Client understands that the occurrence of an injury does not, by itself, establish that a dog interaction was inappropriate or that supervision or management was unreasonable.
23. Day Camp Health Requirements
Dogs participating in Adventure Day Camp must meet current health requirements established by In Sync Canine, including:
• Current vaccinations required by In Sync Canine, including Bordetella
• Current flea prevention
• A negative fecal test completed within 30 days before the dog’s first Adventure Day Camp attendance
• A negative fecal test every six months thereafter
• Freedom from signs of contagious illness
• Any additional health requirement or veterinary clearance reasonably requested by In Sync Canine
Dogs may not attend Adventure Day Camp while experiencing vomiting, diarrhea or unusually loose stool, coughing, nasal discharge, fever, unusual lethargy, or other signs that may suggest contagious illness.
Client agrees to disclose recent contagious illness or known exposure to contagious disease or parasites.
Client understands that vaccination, parasite prevention, screening, sanitation, and other health precautions may reduce risk but cannot eliminate the possibility of exposure to communicable disease or parasites.
24. Medical Conditions and Participation
Client agrees to disclose medical conditions that may affect the dog’s ability to safely participate in Adventure Day Camp, including seizures, heart conditions, respiratory conditions, orthopedic conditions, neurological conditions, exercise intolerance, or conditions that may be worsened by excitement, exertion, heat, or stress.
Disclosure of a medical condition does not automatically disqualify a dog from participation.
In Sync Canine may request veterinary clearance or additional information before allowing or continuing participation.
Dogs experiencing frequent or poorly controlled seizures, or dogs with a disease or medical condition that may be significantly worsened by excitement or physical activity, may not be appropriate candidates for Adventure Day Camp.
25. Giardia and Group Health Policy
Adventure Day Camp is a shared group environment. Client understands that Giardia and other intestinal parasites may be transmitted between dogs or acquired from contaminated outdoor environments even when reasonable screening, sanitation, and prevention practices are followed.
Positive Giardia Result
Client agrees to promptly notify In Sync Canine if their dog tests positive for Giardia.
A dog who tests positive for Giardia may not attend Adventure Day Camp until In Sync Canine’s return-to-camp requirements have been met.
Return requirements may include:
• Veterinarian-directed treatment or management when prescribed
• Resolution of diarrhea, unusually loose stool, or other gastrointestinal symptoms
• Follow-up fecal testing using an appropriate veterinary testing method
• Veterinary clearance when requested by In Sync Canine
In Sync Canine does not prescribe or determine veterinary treatment. Diagnosis, medication, treatment protocols, and veterinary testing recommendations remain the responsibility of the dog’s veterinarian.
Exposure Within a Camp Group
If a dog participating in Adventure Day Camp tests positive for Giardia, In Sync Canine will notify the families of dogs within the affected camp group.
Because dogs within a camp group may share environmental exposure, In Sync Canine may require exposed dogs to complete fecal testing before returning to Adventure Day Camp, even when those dogs are not showing symptoms.
An exposed dog who receives a negative fecal result and is not experiencing gastrointestinal symptoms may return to Adventure Day Camp unless additional precautions are reasonably necessary based on the circumstances of the exposure.
An exposed dog who tests positive is subject to the positive Giardia return-to-camp requirements above.
Gastrointestinal Symptoms
Regardless of Giardia testing status, dogs experiencing diarrhea, unusually loose stool, vomiting, or other gastrointestinal symptoms that may indicate contagious illness may not attend Adventure Day Camp.
In Sync Canine may require symptom resolution, veterinary evaluation, fecal testing, or veterinary clearance before the dog returns.
A negative fecal result does not override active symptoms or guarantee that a dog is free from all infectious disease or intestinal parasites.
Multiple Positive Dogs or Ongoing Exposure
If multiple dogs within the same Adventure Day Camp group test positive for Giardia, or there is reason to believe dogs in the group may be experiencing continued exposure, In Sync Canine may temporarily pause that camp group.
Before camp resumes, In Sync Canine may require participating dogs to complete fecal testing or obtain veterinary clearance.
These decisions will be based on the circumstances and are intended to reduce continued exposure and protect the health of the group.
